Baldur's Gate 3

Lae’zel

Lae’zel is a young Githyanki warrior and is the first companion you meet at the start of Baldur’s Gate 3’s tutorial. She is quick to anger, rude, and extremely xenophobic when you first meet her. Lae’zel comes from a warrior society and has no patience for actions or attitudes that she sees as being weak or cowardly. The mind flayers are the mortal enemy of the Gith, and the fact that she has been inflected by a tadpole fills her with disgust. The fact that mind flayer reproduce by infecting a host with a tadpole is not lost on Lae’zel, and her greatest fear is becoming that which she is word to destroy.

All that being said though it is possible to romance Lae’zel. If you stand up to her, show patience with her ignorance with society on the Prime Material Plane and deal decisively with challenges she will come to respect you. Play your cards right, and that respect will evolve into a straightforward romance. One thing you must do if you are going to romance Lae’zel is find the Githyanki creche towards the end of Act 1.

Lastly I must tell you that Shadowheart and Lae’zel DO NOT like each other, and conflict between the two will most likely erupt.
